I have been wondering that myself. I have been attempting to keep my own blog up (along with two church blogs and an experiment with a theology blog). All this while spending too much time on facebook. You’d think I didn’t have anything better to do.

It’s so true–the supermarket pizzas from God knows where are nowhere near as good as the ones produced at the local pizza places.

Yesterday in the caf they had mashed potatoes with pureed carrots. It didn’t look great but it tasted really good! I love all those ideas and will have to start using them on my husband for practice…

Cool! I think that’s become a popular secret these days. I got the Jessica Seinfeld book for Monique this year, and we’re seeing more programs on the Food network use the veggie purees. Interesting stuff. I’m down to try some out, so it’s good to hear that they’re workin’ at your place!

And whole wheat spaghetti rocks, by the way.

Thanks! That place is a ton of fun. After we got there, we learned that it is an actual English pub that was in London in the 19th century. A hundred years ago it was dismantled and brought to New York. Eventually, it was dismantled again and placed into storage. A design team for the Broadmoor found it in the 1950s, and reassembled it in Colorado Springs.

The piano player was, thankfully, not more than a hundred years old. He was great and once he broke the news to the crowd and had them sing “Happy Birthday” to me, it was no longer safe to be drinking anything being offered to me. Speaking of which, I tried a Black Velveteen for the first time (Guiness layered on top of a hard dry cider). Strange, but good.
