We did it!
26.2 miles!
Kristy’s time was 17 minutes ahead of mine. Good job Kristy!
I ended up walking a lot of it. It was an experience that challenged everything in me. I hit the “wall” at mile 23. I did not want to continue. I was physically and mentally exhausted. I had been going continually for 6 hours at that point. We went thru Newport Beach, Tustin and finally to Irvine Spectrum. I am so sore today. It is hard to move. But I have a medal!
I am doing another one - maybe San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon in June. Thanks to all of you for your support! I could not have done it without you!

Shannon,
I am so proud to have you as a friend! You are an amazing mother, friend, sister, daughter, and human being! I am sure that each and every step you took yesterday will directly benefit cancer patients and you should be proud of every ache and pain.
Love you! Erin
PS Kristy, I am so proud of you, too! You go girl!
Wow, great accomplishment! And here I was getting excited that I took down the Christmas lights. Congrats!
Thanks Joe and Erin. I really appreciate you encouraging me!
Joe - taking down the Christmas lights is a big deal. I know of several neighbors who figure it just is not worth the trouble to do it again in ten months…So good job!

Erin - by no way is my ache and pain even close to someone going thru chemo. YOU are the true hero my friend! Way to kick cancer’s butt!
Congratulations. I get tired just looking at pictures of a marathon. Way to go!
I am so proud of you! You are AMAZING!!! Words do not discribe the admiration and pride I have knowing that you are my friend!
Awesome Job!
