Hello! As you readers know, I am training for my first marathon! Getting up early has not been easy, but I am making progress. I have learned some things so far that I probably would be better off not knowing - like your toenails get black or fall off after running so many miles (good-bye pedicures!) and runner’s eat gu. Yes, it is what it sounds.
Nonetheless, here I continue running - or walk running depending on how far I need to go.
I need your help - nothing is too small. I have to fundraise $1900 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I want to do it and go over if I can. Many of you know or have heard about my friend Erin up in San Francisco who has beat Hodgkins Lymphoma almost four years ago. Thanks to a smart doctor who put her body into an early menopause - she was able to keep her reproductive organs safe from all that chemo and have a beautiful baby named Holly.
Please visit and donate at my website! Here is the link: Thanks!

Thank you so much for your hard work Shannon. I know that I got better because people gave in the past and smart doctors were able to find new drugs to help me. I am sure that with more research and funding it will get even easier for people to beat cancer. Trust that ever step (with or without black toe nails) is helping people.
